Student Privacy

Protect student identity before course information reaches your assistant.

Your Canvas or Moodle sign-in stays in Chrome. Morrow confirms the course, builds a complete identity list for the records it will read, and replaces student details with labels such as Student A1. If it cannot identify and protect every student in those records, it stops.

For Macs With an Apple M Chip

Open the Morrow download.
Drag Morrow into Applications.
Open Morrow from Applications.
The first time, confirm Morrow in System Settings under Privacy & Security, then setup starts.

Windows

For Windows 10 and Windows 11

Download for Windows

Open the Morrow download.
Morrow installs for your account and opens automatically.
If needed, open Morrow from the Start menu to start setup.

Confirm Morrow the first time you open it.

Morrow is independent software and is not distributed through Apple’s or Microsoft’s developer programmes, so each system asks you to confirm it once. You do this yourself, and only on the first open. A computer managed by your school or employer can block the step, and only whoever manages it can allow it.

Mac: Open Morrow once and select Done on the message that appears. Open System Settings, select Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and select Open Anyway. Select Open Anyway again to confirm, then use Touch ID or your password. The button stays available for about an hour after you try to open Morrow. Read Apple’s Instructions.

Windows: Select More info in the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen message, then select Run anyway. Read Microsoft’s SmartScreen Guidance.

Not sure which download to choose?

Not sure whether your Mac works? Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac. If the line named Chip begins with Apple M, you can use Morrow. Morrow does not run on older Intel Macs.

Not sure whether your Windows computer works? Morrow runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. If Windows says Morrow cannot run on your computer, contact support.

Using a phone, tablet, or another operating system? Open this page on your Mac or Windows computer to install Morrow.

After the Download

Morrow shows one next action at a time.

Open the app and choose ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Gemini CLI. Morrow then helps you add Morrow Bridge to Chrome and connect the bridge to the app.

Your First Course

Open Canvas or Moodle in Chrome.

Morrow Bridge connects to the Canvas or Moodle tab where you are signed in.

Open a course, then select Connect Canvas or Connect Moodle. Chrome asks for access to that course site.

For Blackboard, your administrator connects Morrow first. Then you add that approved connection in the app.
